Silent Hill is well known for being one of the great sagas of the Survival Horror videogame gender. Each game is setted in the forgotten and damned town Silent Hill, which is victim of a curse.
But Silent Hill games are not only famous for the game itself, they're also famous for their original soundtracks. The genious who is responsible of the great sound ambientation is Akira Yamaoka, a Japanese composer. Some of his most famous songs of Silent Hill are the intro of the first game (which has a version with vocals in Silent Hill 4), Theme of Laura, Promise, Your Rain, You're not here, Waiting for you, Hometown (the version with voice of the first Silent Hill's Intro).
The songs create the best atmosphere of horror and terror ever seen and heard. Each song can make you scream. Although there are songs that can calm you in a determinated part, or ever can make you cry. There are plenty of endings in each game, and the final song makes you think about the end of the game, the things that passed. It's one of the greatest soundtracks ever heard.
I recommend you to listen to this songs:- Theme of Laura (Silent Hill 2)- Promise (Silent Hill 2)- True (Silent Hill 2)- Your rain (Silent Hill 4: The Room)- Waiting for you (Silent Hill 4: The Room)- Overdose delusion (Silent Hill 2)- Silent Hill 1 Intro (Silent Hill 1)- Cradle of Forest (Silent Hill 4: The Room)- Hometown (Silent Hill 3)- You're not here (Silent Hill 3)
